In 1987 her career then took her to Portland, Oregon where she designed and taught computers classes for Portland Community College and Harakai Training centers. Linda took opportunities to travel to the Warm Springs Indian Reservation to teach children there about computers, hauling in and setting up computers for the children to use. In her community, she worked with “troubled youth” in lock-up facilities, inspiring in them a love for computing.

In the mid 90’s, Linda completed industry certifications in Networking, and PC Repair and began working in Utah at Box Elder School District as a network administrator and PC Repair Technician. Her love for teaching youth inspired her to return to college at WSU to get her teaching license and endorsements in Computer Science, Networking, PC Repair, Gaming Development, Business Information Technology, and Web Development. Linda began teaching at Box Elder High School where she started their I.T. program, teaching there for 15 years. In 2008, Linda was awarded “Utah I.T. Teacher of the Year”.
